It’s not every day that a student enrolls in EVERY SINGLE COURSE we offer but that’s exactly what Svetlana did. Over the past few years, she has been an exceptional student, applying herself fully to each course and achieving incredible progress along the way. We couldn’t resist sitting down with her to hear her thoughts on the experience.
1.What inspired you to become an animator?
Cartoons! I had a favorite children’s TV channel where cartoons were shown nonstop. I used to watch them on repeat and adored the "softness" of movements and the beautiful drawings. Interestingly, puppet animation didn’t impress me much, but hand-drawn ones (like "The Lion King") were my true love.
2.What made you choose to study at Lupin House?
I liked the format and topics of the courses, and most importantly, there was no time restriction for completing them. You can manage your own schedule, watch the lessons in a calm atmosphere, and then apply the knowledge in practice.
3.Did the courses meet or even exceed your expectations?
I enjoyed it! In some moments, I realized how much I was overcomplicating the animation process. It turned out to be much simpler and genuinely more fun.
4.What would you say to someone unsure if our courses are the right step for them?
It's worth trying! I picked the topics where I could find answers to my questions.
5.What were the most valuable benefits you gained from the courses?
I learned how to simplify the animation process for myself, understood where I had misunderstandings, and adopted the use of libraries. In general, it's always helpful to see someone else's approach to animation.
6.How was your experience with the course structure?
I liked how everything was divided into small lessons. You can create your own learning plan—for example, completing three lessons today and a few more tomorrow. This way, you don’t get overwhelmed by the flow of information but still keep learning.
7.Did you notice growth in your animation skills after completing the courses?
I think so! After the lip-sync course, I was pleasantly surprised by my own result. I really liked it.
8.Do you feel more confident as an animator now than before?
Haha, compromising question! I think yes. Now I want to take mentorship with Amador.
9.How would you describe the level of support provided at Lupin House?
I was never left without feedback, and that was very pleasant. They met me halfway on many issues. Maximum comfort.
10.What was it like animating with the rigs provided by Lupin House?
Absolutely fantastic! Now it’s much harder to find “similar rigs” online that are as functional and visually appealing
11.If someone is considering the courses at Lupin House, what advice would you give them?
Choose the topic that seems most suitable and start right away without postponing.
12.Do you believe our courses helped you advance your skills faster than learning on your own?
I think so! The animation process definitely became more enjoyable.
13.Looking back, are you proud of the work you created during your time at Lupin House?
The result from the lip-sync course pleased me.
14.Do you feel the skills you gained at Lupin House are directly applicable to professional animation work? If so, how?
Of course! After the masterclass with Amador, I realized which "puzzle pieces" I was missing. My understanding of blocking became more solid, and I saw how this stage can help make the work more qualitative. I also picked up interesting spline tricks and learned what aspects to focus on to improve animation. Watching someone else’s animation process is always extremely useful.
15. Would you recommend our courses at Lupin House to other aspiring animators?
Absolutely!
